Tendonology - Specialist Tendon Treatment for Horses

Location

Tendonology is located in East Kent.  Aiming to open in early January 2012 we are in the process of developing a new treatment centre with a revolutionary approach to stable design to ensure the horse has the best environment to be treated in.  Images of the facility will be available shortly.

Each box has its own CCTV camera which can be accessed by connections of the horses in for treatment.   The centre will be staffed 24 hours a day with the addition of night time cover.

New additions to the technology in early 2012 will be a new gait analysis system including an 'in-house' pressure plate system that will aid the diagnosis and identification of the underlying cause of the presenting tendon problems that originate from the gait and foot.

By the summer 2012 we aim to have a gait analysis laboratory completed which we will name in remembrance of our excellent remedial farrier Kevin Howes who was killed in a car crash in October 2011.

Resources allowing we are also hoping to add to the dry treadmill we have with a water based one.

All of this is with the aim of improving the outcome of the horses we treat and provide a better service for our clients.
