History of Tendonology
Tendonology commenced treating racehorses with tendon problems in December 2002 with Be My Royal
(Hennessy Gold Cup 'Winner' 2002)
In the period 2002-2005, twenty four horses were treated of which eighteen returned to racing.

From January 2006 to December 2008, the following statistics give an idea of the work of Tendonology.
- 64 horses treated
- 44 horses returned to racing (66%)
- 349 days was the average time off the racecourse
- 76 days was the length of in-patient stay
- £5676 was the average complete treatment and rehabilitation cost
Up to December 2009 a further 30 horses have been treated that are currently going through their post treatment programmes.
